Brighter Sound

Brighter Sound is a Manchester-based music organisation working locally and internationally to support young and emerging artists and music professionals in the North of England.

For 23 years equalising opportunity has been part of Brighter Sound’s DNA, and with every step they work to break down barriers to access and create a more equitable, diverse and inclusive music world. From local grassroots activity to global strategy as the sector lead for Manchester Music City, Brighter Sound’s programme includes artistic residencies and commissions, community-rooted workshops, training and professional development, peer-led support networks, live events and All Things Equal - a large-scale gender equality initiative and manifesto for change.
