
QM Records Presents QM Escape Alt Showcase @ The Great Escape Festival
QM Records hosts a Bradford/ Brighton Alt escape stage this year at 'The Actors' from 7pm till late with exciting artists from both cities. They are bringing you three exciting acts from Bradford. D.R.N.E, an up and coming rapper really making a name for himself. The Red Shakes, an indie band that brings you floor filling, guitar driven tunes and Cherry Seraph, an alternative pop artist who blends her smooth vocals with liquid funk.
Playing on the official line up on Saturday 18th at The Brighthelm Centre will be Sinead Campbell with her smooth soulful sound and groove driven melodies.

At this Alternative Escape showcase you’ll find a rich seam of rising independent artists from across the North with sounds and influences as broad as the towns and cities they’re from.
Curated by partners of the Northern Music Network (talent-development agencies, venues, labels and promoters from the North West to the North East and everywhere in between), you’ll find (amongst more exciting acts TBA): epic indie from Blossoms-approved Hull 5-piece Fever, the soulful voice and songcraft of Teesside’s Finn Forster!

For over 18 years, The Great Escape festival has been the ultimate festival for discovering new music. Showcasing over 500 emerging artists from all over the world in around 30 walkable venues across the seaside resort, there’s also a pop-up festival site right on Brighton Beach. While we can’t guarantee the weather, we can ensure that five of the brightest stars in the North East will be there to be discovered.
The North East is a hotbed right now when it comes to creative talent. With major labels looking to set up shop and a booming creative industry, Generator is at the forefront of the development of the region’s musical infrastructure. We’re thrilled to be supporting five of our best local artists with travel, accommodation, and performance slots as part of Generator’s North East Showcase.

Please join us for the network launch, with an opportunity to meet the organisations, get involved in future partnerships, hear about Northern artists performing across the festival and the existing work ongoing to support music in the region. This network launch is proudly supported by the UK’s music licensing organisation for performers and recording rightsholders, PPL.

Hit The North @ Liverpool Sound City 2024
Northern Music Network is a new collective working to support the music sector in the North of England. Northern music development organisations have a long history of collaborating, and over the last 6 months, those working in popular music genres have been meeting regularly to look at how they can collaborate and effectively support the northern music sector. This panel will share insights and updates on their progress and how a wider range of organisations will be able to connect in the future".
The panel will be Chaired by Kevin McManus, who will be joined by representatives of the network from across the North.
